Barcelona SC Guayaquil striker Allen Obando is set to join Barcelona.
Obando, 17, despite his young age, has managed to impress at senior level.
This season, the striker has accounted for one goal and two assists in seven games in the Ecuadorian top flight.
Jijantes says the player's agent, Manuel Sierra, was in Spain on Friday to meet Barcelona's management. In addition, Obando has already completed his medical with the Spanish giants.
Obando's contract with the Ecuadorian club runs through 2026.
The striker is expected to begin his career in Spain with Barca Atletic.
