ESPN says Barca have decided to cash in on the Uruguay defender if an offer of 100m or more arrives.
Bayern Munich and Manchester United have both been in contact with Barca to register their interest.
And while happy at Barca, Araujo has stated his future "will be decided by the club".
Araujo's contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2026.
