Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele says a change of attitude has improved his fitness record.
The France international hasn't suffered a serious injury for nine months and as such, is now playing the best football of his career.
He told Sport: "The injuries came because at 20 years old as I did not work like I do now.
"And if you want to be a great player, you have to work. Your talent is not enough. I didn't know before, but now I see that it's essential to work on and off the pitch."
On signing a new contract, Dembele also said: "Undoubtedly, Xavi has been key to continue. Also the president (Joan Laporta), I talk a lot with both of them. I'm fine. Everyone is happy now."
