
MANILA, Philippines — Bangsamoro Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua has been proclaimed the winner of the parliamentary representative race in Maguindanao del Norte’s 3rd District in the first BARMM parliamentary elections.
The proclamation was shown during the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) livestream on Tuesday.
Based on data from election watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) as of 6:39 p.m., Macacua garnered 37,162 votes, while his lone rival, Badrudin Mamad, received 9,724 votes.
