Manchester City's Elite Development Squad head coach Brian Barry-Murphy was delighted with his squad yesterday.

The young Citizens ran away with a comfortable 4-0 win over Young Boys Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League.

With the senior team winning as well, City managed the double over both Young Boys teams.

I wouldn't say I have favorites, but I've said previously you don't always get the players you want to score, to score," Barry-Murphy stated to club media post-game about the hard-working nature of his group.

Those players have been incredible for us in this competition and in the EFL Trophy and they go under the radar in terms of how good they are.

To see them get that reward for their performances over the last however long is very satisfying and very big for the dressing room because it gives good substance to how hard we're going to see our players work again.

[I'm] very pleased [overall]. I thought it was a difficult game during the first half and we created some very good chances but also had some scares in our box on the right hand side.

The scoreline at the end is very satisfying and the players are over the moon."
