
Kota Kinabalu: Strengthening basic infrastructure and utilities is a critical aspect of development that requires special attention in Sabah, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He urged the Federal Government to prioritise the development of basic infrastructure and utilities in the state under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).
Advertisement“The provision of basic utilities, such as clean water supply and comprehensive electricity coverage, especially in rural areas, is essential for improving the quality of life for the people. It also stimulates various activities, including economic growth and investment.
“This is important to create a conducive environment for sustainable socio-economic growth in Sabah,” he said at the Federal-level 13MP Sabah Engagement Session with the Economy Ministry at the Pacific Sutera Harbour here today.
