Laurence Bassini is pushing to complete his takeover of Birmingham City.
The ex-Watford chairman, who is not without controversy, revealed that is was ready to buy out Birmingham's largest shareholder Vong Pech.
After taking that 21.64% stake, he wants to buy the whole club in the next two years for roughly £36.5 million, per the Mirror.
Bassini is hoping to take control of the club in the coming days, and then install John Eustace as their manager.
There is a final deadline for the deal's completion, which is on Friday.
Eustace, who is 42, was in charge at Queens Park Rangers for a period after the departure of Steve McClaren in 2019.
