MANILA, Philippines—The death toll from Tropical Storm Basyang has risen to 12, the Office of Civil Defense said on Sunday.
The fatalities, mostly from Region 10 and Caraga, either drowned or died in landslides.
The OCD earlier reported that a family of four in Cagayan de Oro City perished in a landslide induced by heavy rains. Three more fatalities were recorded in Iligan City and one in Caraga.
All these numbers however are still subject for validation, the OCD said.
