Batik Air (Malindo Airways Sdn Bhd) has updated its power bank policy, enforcing stricter regulations for passenger safety. Effective immediately, passengers may carry up to two power banks, which must be kept on their person at all times. Storing them in carry-on or checked baggage is strictly prohibited.
This revision aligns with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations, limiting power banks to a maximum of 100 watt-hours (Wh) or 20,000 milliampere-hours (mAh). Additionally, using power banks onboard is not allowed.
To ensure compliance, check-in staff will inspect power banks, and safety reminders will be displayed at check-in counters and reinforced through announcements. Batik Air remains committed to passenger safety and appreciates travelers' cooperation with these updated guidelines.
