Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso insists he's not pining for the Liverpool job.
Xabi is favourite for the post after Jurgen Klopp has announced he will leave Anfield at the end of the season.
He said, "It was a surprise. My respect and admiration for Jrgen has grown more and more in recent years.
"Not only for what he achieved with Liverpool, but also for the way he did it. At the moment I'm happy and I enjoy my job. It's demanding and intense, but it's a wonderful journey with Leverkusen and I'm doing my best to be ready for my players.
"That's my goal. I don't know what comes next."
