Manchester United are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen fullback Jeremie Frimpong.
Sky Deutschland's Florian Plettenberg is reporting Frimpong remains on United's radar but no concrete approach has been made yet.
United have emerged as frontrunners in a reported pursuit of the Dutch defender, who is enjoying an outstanding season in the Bundesliga and is expected to make the step up to a Champions League outfit swiftly.
Several reports suggested an initial approach had been made, but while the Reds are keen on Frimpong, Plettenberg states any move is not as advanced as once thought.
He posted: "He's still on the list of #MUFC as revealed. But contrary to other reports there are no concrete talks between Man United & his management at his stage. No negotiations with Leverkusen.
"Contract until 2025 but still keen to make the next step."
