Bayern Munich winger Sadio Mane has stated that he is confident Liverpool can continue to climb the Premier League table.
The Senegalese star was at Liverpool for several seasons, before departing in the summer for Bayern.
Having won the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, Mane is aware of how fortunes can turn around for the Anfield club.
Liverpool defeated Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday to kickstart their season.
"I'm very happy for the guys that they beat City," Mane told BILD.
"I couldn't watch because we were in the bus.
“I have a lot of faith in the guys and the coach that they will get back to the top"
