Bayern Munich have ruled out a move this month for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha.
The Portugal international saw a deadline day move in September collapse while in Munich.
Bayern chiefs have talked up trying again during the winter market.
But sporting director Christoph Freund said: "We wanted him last summer, but the priority now was to strengthen ourselves at the back".
