Bayern Munich chief Oliver Kahn admits they've discussed a move for Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has been linked with Bayern as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, now of Barcelona.
Kahn told BILD: "We discussed Cristiano's situation internally.
"I consider him one of the best footballers in history. We came to the conclusion that, despite our admiration for Cristiano, he would not fit our philosophy at the moment."
Kahn's comments came in the same day as Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerez branded links with Ronaldo as "an invention".
