Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has explained releasing Marcel Sabitzer on-loan to Manchester United.
The Austria midfielder has joined United to the end of the season.
Salihamidzic explained: "Sabi had a very, very good market.
"There was interest from many big clubs. Manchester United lost Christian Eriksen due to injury, so it was clear that Marcel had a big chance of playing time, which we couldn't guarantee him.
"It was a good solution for all parties involved."
