Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed they can buy outright Joao Cancelo.
The Manchester City defender joined Bayern on-loan to the end of the season with a 70m option.
Salihamidzic told BILD: "He is doing well in Munich that's the most important thing right now.
"He will have the opportunity to play regularly in the second half of the season.
If all parties are interested, we can agree on the terms of the buyout. Joao knows that we really wanted to sign him for several years."
