Kota Kinabalu: Sabahans performing the Hajj should fully prepare themselves before going to the holy land, said Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya.

He said it is a spiritual journey that requires physical strength, emotions and gaining a clear understanding of knowledge.

“Before leaving for the holy land, purify your intentions and use the energy and time you have to perform sufficient acts of worship in preparation for the Hajj ‘Mabroor’.

“Use the best time to increase worship, attend masjid, doing more supplementary practices or good deeds, read Al-Quran and dhikr.

Shahelmey, who is also the Minister of Works, reminded pilgrims to take care of their safety and health while in Makkah and Madinah.

“However, I am sure that Tabung Haji is ready to take care of the welfare and safety of all Malaysian pilgrims.

“If there is any confusion and dissatisfaction with the services and facilities provided by Tabung Haji, make sure you give comments and feedback via the right channel so as to avoid any inconvenience,” he said.
