LABUAN: Umno leaders here are urged to continue to be sensitive to the needs of the local community in order to preserve the party’s image, loyalty of members and protect the interest of the people.

Its Chief Datuk Mohd Rafi Datuk Alli Hassan said it is also important for them to provide excellent public service.

He said the party’s motto of “Umno Bersatu, Bersetia Berkhidmat” should serve as a guide in shouldering the duties and responsibilities as grassroots leaders.

“They need to unite, work as a team and be loyal to the trust given, in addition to providing the best service to the community, especially Umno members under their care,” he said during the Ramadan Love Pilgrimage programme, organised by Umno Saguking branch, here.

Also present were Labuan Umno Vice Chief Datuk Khalid Abd Ghani, Women’s Chief Hajah Niswati Tarji, Youth Chief Saifful Pungut, Saguking Umno Branch Chief Zainal Bongsu and Gersik Saguking village head Osman Kadir.
