BEAUFORT: Firefighters here attended to several distress calls which included catching snakes and dousing flames involving a switch box here.
Fire and Rescue Station Chief Hasbullah Nenggok said the first incident took place at 1.35pm involving a cobra at Kg Kukut on Saturday.
The same day at 6.48pm, a 10-foot long python weighing 100kg was captured at Kg Kubu.
The captured reptiles were handed over to the Wildlife Department for further action.
A day earlier, firefighters helped put out a fire at Taman Selagon Lorong 2 Lot 97. The prompt action by the house owner led to the quick dousing of the fire by the firemen.
