KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood victims in Beaufort has continued to drop to 308 people from 99 families as of 4 pm today, compared to 407 people from 129 families at 8 o'clock this morning.
In a statement, the Sabah Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said that only four temporary relief centres remain in operation -- Dewan PSP Dun Banir, Dewan Bisaya, Dewan Residensi Prima and Dewan Kukut. They were opened on March 8.
"The flood situation in 10 affected villages in Beaufort is improving, with the number of victims steadily decreasing," the statement said.
