BEAUFORT: A 37-year-old man got lost when going down a hill slope at Bukit Bendera, near here, on Thursday.

District Fire and Rescue Station head Muhammad Hasbullah Nenggok, who confirmed the incident, said a distress call was received at 6.55pm about the incident on May 16.

He said, upon arrival, the firefighters conducted a search after receiving the location shared by the victim.

“The victim was located at 2.5km away from the location.

“The victim was not injured and able to go down with the firemen up to the foot hill,” he said.

He said the victim was examined again by their Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) team.

The victim was not injured but traumatized with fatigue, he said.
