BEAUFORT: A teacher from SK Padang Berempah, Ag Kujai Wahab, 52, who went missing while searching for his buffaloes on Thursday morning, was found safe on Friday afternoon.

District Fire and Rescue Station chief Ishak Jabas said a search and rescue (SAR) operation was launched with the help of police and local villagers.

The victim was reported missing by his family after he failed to return from the Nabahan Weston area, where he had gone to look for his buffaloes.

He was eventually found at 12.40pm on Friday by his son and several villagers about 500 metres from where he was last seen and was brought home to Kampung Kundu Suasa.
