Love heritage, culture and storytelling?

Here’s your chance to turn that passion into action. Twenty participants will be selected to take part in the 2-Day Seremban Heritage Walking Trail Workshop, happening on October 11–12, 2025, at The White House, Seremban.

The programme aims to equip participants with the techniques, knowledge and skills to become Tourism Ambassadors for Seremban; showcasing the city’s unique blend of history, architecture and local life.

Workshop Programme Coordinator Jasmine Leow, an Accredited HRDC Trainer and veteran tour guide with more than 20 years’ experience, described the workshop as “a one-of-a-kind initiative” and opportunity open to the public.

“The workshop blends hands-on walking exploration with fresh, innovative insights into heritage interpretation, tourism storytelling, and sustainable travel. Besides guided tours with narratives, there will be indoor sessions as well.

“Participants will get to see, feel and experience what Seremban has to offer. We will take you to all the interesting places and offer fresh perspectives. We even have experienced tourist guides, journalist, teacher and Grab driver signed up for our event. Everyone can chip in, give commentary and share their knowledge.

“Lunch and two tea breaks are provided on both days. A Certificate of Recognition will be awarded to participants at the end of the workshop.”

Jasmine added that the workshop, supported by the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Board and Adun Bukit Kepayang YB Nicole Tan, will introduce a refreshing concept for participants to get involved in tourism, become guides and tourism ambassadors of Seremban ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026. Registration for workshop close on Friday, Oct 3, 2025.

“We invite the would-be tourism ambassadors to see, feel and experience Seremban, in a nutshell during the workshop. Moh Seremban. Moh Negeri Sembilan,” she said drawing on a common colloquial expression in daily conversation here.

Moh is a warm, friendly, and very local expression — one of those little words drawn from Minangkabau roots that immediately identifies someone as being from Seremban or Negeri Sembilan.

So far, 12 spots have already been filled, leaving only eight seats available. Participation is free, but a refundable RM50 commitment fee is required to ensure that those who register for the walking trail workshop, fully participates in it.
