Last weekend, hundreds of masked, black-clad protesters took to the streets in Dover and Portsmouth.
Days later, similar scenes unfolded outside the Daily Mail newsroom. Face coverings were largely absent from previous far-right demonstrations, including the Southport riots last year and the United Kingdom rally earlier this year.
So why are more protesters hiding their faces - and what does this shift tell us about the changing tactics of the far right?
