  3. Illegally locking the victim on the premises against his will

Their lawyers appealed for lower bail

The charges were filed under Section 506, Section 384, Section 323, and Section 342 of the Penal Code, which can lead to 10 years of jail time, a fine, or both if convicted.

All the accused were represented by lawyers from the National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK), Norfarahin Mohd Yazid and T Nadarajan, while the case was prosecuted by Johor State Attorney General Abdul Jaafar, Deputy Public Prosecutors Nik Nurai and Nur Fatih.

The prosecution asked for a bail of RM10,000 with one surety for each charge, making it RM40,000 for the men and RM30,000 for Bella.

Norfarahin, however, appealed to the court to impose a lower bail on her clients due to their financial constraints. She pointed out that three of the accused, including Bella, are unemployed.

Bella was also said to have asthma. As for the others, they work at a factory with a monthly wage ranging from RM1,200 to RM2,000.

The court then allowed a total bail of RM16,000 for the seven men while Bella was granted RM14,000 bail with one surety.

The judgment of the case will be decided on June 3, 2025, as reported by Sinar Harian and China Press.
