Real Madrid chiefs are confident they've done everything possible to close a deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Real are determined to sign Bellingham and they believe that they have taken all the necessary steps to complete the England international's move, says Marca.

Los Blancos have demonstrated their respect towards his club, Borussia Dortmund, who have been informed of Real Madrid's moves, as the Spanish institution is keen to maintain its good relationship with the Bundesliga club.

Bellingham knows how far Real Madrid can go and has accepted the position of the club's leaders. This doesn't mean that a deal has been reached, but he is aware of what Real Madrid can offer in terms of salary and contract length.

The Englishman also knows that the main incentive in Real Madrid's case is what it would represent to don their historic shirt.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund president Aki Watzke is waiting for Bellingham to inform him about his final decision on his future before he negotiates with another club.

The club's top executive will have to first go through Dortmund's board of directors, which is chaired by Christian Kullman and consists of seven other people.

After being given the go-ahead, he will then sit down to negotiate his departure.

It has to be noted, that Bellingham's contract does not include a release clause, so Borussia Dortmund will ask for 120m euros, while Real Madrid are willing to pay 100m euros plus variables.
