Bentley EXP 15: A Stunning Preview of the Brand’s First All-Electric Luxury Car
The Bentley EXP 15 has just been previewed as the marque’s first steps into an electric future. Serving as a design concept, the EXP 15 is not intended for production—but it offers a tantalizing preview of what Bentley’s first-ever fully electric vehicle (EV) will look and feel like.
Developed in Bentley’s new state-of-the-art design studio, this concept blends historical cues from the iconic 1930 Speed Six with futuristic design language and cutting-edge digital technology.
Visually, the EXP 15 embodies Bentley’s upcoming design direction: a muscular stance, an “endless bonnet” line, and a reinterpretation of its iconic upright grille.
A mix of traditional British craftsmanship—such as wool by Fox Brothers and silk by Gainsborough—with ultra-modern materials like 3D-printed titanium and illuminated acrylic mesh, makes for a uniquely Bentley EV cabin.
A novel three-seat layout with rotating passenger chairs and luxury pet or luggage storage reinforces the bespoke, experience-driven ethos of this concept.
Compared to its rivals, the Bentley EXP 15 sets itself apart with a stronger emphasis on heritage and craftsmanship. The Rolls-Royce Spectre, for instance, is already on sale and features a more traditional coupe layout with an ultra-silent electric drive.
While Spectre is focused on a serene, stately driving experience, Bentley is clearly aiming for a grand touring character with dynamic proportions and a more progressive user interface that blends digital and analog seamlessly.
Meanwhile, the Jaguar Type 00 EV concept, shown as a teaser for the brand’s upcoming electric rebirth, leans toward minimalist design and a tech-centric luxury feel. Jaguar’s future EVs may be performance-oriented and sleek, but they lack the deep-rooted, storytelling craftsmanship that Bentley weaves into EXP 15.
The EXP 15 also highlights Bentley’s shift toward more sustainable luxury, incorporating eco-conscious materials and a digital-first development process using virtual reality. Bentley’s Director of Design, Robin Page, calls it “an intelligent and thoughtful mix of conductor and chef”—an apt metaphor for a car that both leads and caters to the needs of its occupants.
As Bentley prepares to launch its first production EV in 2026, the EXP 15 is a powerful statement: this is not just an electric Bentley—it’s a Bentley reimagined for a sustainable, digital, and luxurious future.
