Former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has denied he wants to leave Al-Ittihad.

The Frenchman was said to be unhappy at the Saudi Pro League club, after signing for them over the summer.

Benzema was being linked with a move back to Lyon in France, along with Manchester United in England.

Benzema told L'Equipe: "It's completely false! The French media don't know what to invent any more. The bigger the better."

The Mirror did state that moving to United was not a possibility for Benzema this winter.

The club stated they were not interested in bringing in the veteran on a short-term deal.
