Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema returned to training at Valdebebas today.
Benzema came through the session unscathed and feels ready for a playing return.
He said afterwards: “I'm happy to be back with the team. Time has passed and I have had time to do a preseason. I feel very good, comfortable. I want to play on Sunday (against Osasuna).
“I have done a lot of physical work. I haven't touched the ball. Today was my first training. These days I did a lot of running and strength inside the facilities. I also trained at home. I arrived a little late from the holidays and I didn't have much time to do a good preseason. That's why I've done it now and I feel very good.
“I have seen the team do very well, perfect. I have seen them full of victories, goals and character. We have a great team although it can be said that we have two teams. There is no difference between the players who start the game and those who enter with the game already started. I see the team very well."
