Berlin fire brigade said that three of the victims were in life-threatening condition, while eight were in serious condition, per Sky News.
A suspect in the Berlin attack was identified in the early hours of Sunday morning as a member of the city’s “Islamist scene”, according to police.
The suspect has not yet been arrested, a spokesperson for Berlin police told reporters at the scene on Sunday morning, according to Reuters.
“We have now identified a suspected perpetrator. Measures against this suspected perpetrator, who has not yet been arrested, are underway. However, this suspected perpetrator is known to the police as a member of the Islamist scene here in Berlin," said the spokesperson.
According to police, a car had driven into the Tiergarten park, near the route of the pride march, hitting several people.
Hundreds of thousands of people had come to Berlin on Saturday to celebrate at Berlin’s pride parade, known in Germany as Christopher Street Day. It’s one of Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ celebrations.

Hundreds of thousands of people had gathered peacefully in the German capital for the annual Christopher Street Day celebrations, one of Europe's largest LGBTQ events, before the apparent attack brought it to an abrupt end.
A large number of emergency service vehicles were at the scene.
"It's one of the worst days for the queer community and a day I personally hoped I'd never have to experience... I'm shocked," said Julian Miethig, who attended the event.
Christopher Street Day draws hundreds of thousands of people to the German capital each year. The event commemorates the 1969 Stonewall uprising in New York and combines a parade with political demands for equality, inclusion and protection against discrimination.

The pride event in front of the city's iconic Brandenburg Gate in the downtown, near Tiergarten, was called off around 10:15 p.m. and a band’s performance on stage was interrupted.
People were urged to go home and to avoid taking the route through the park.
Before the incident, people had celebrated peacefully, marching through the city for hours, dancing to loud music, and cheering the around 80 floats that participated in the parade.
