Federico Bernardeschi is disappointed seeing Leonardo Bonucci frozen out at Juventus.
The veteran defender has been stripped of the captaincy and been left out of their US tour squad.
Toronto FC midfielder Bernardeschi said of his former Juve teammate: "I'm so sorry for this situation, I don't think it's easy for anyone, especially for Leo.
"I heard about it and he certainly deserved to come out in a different way, if it really had to happen.
"There are internal dynamics that I don't know from the outside, but seeing a symbol of a club like Leo be in this situation, humanly speaking, I'm sorry."
