BERSATU Segambut deputy chief Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad is expected to give his statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) soon, after confirming his willingness to cooperate with investigators in the probe into the MEX II Highway project.
MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said he had already established contact with the 44-year-old, who was previously abroad, and had been assured of his full cooperation.
“Because he was not in the country at the time, we required his assistance. We have now managed to contact him,” Azam said.
“In the near future, there are matters we need to address with him, and he has responded to us. Together with his lawyer, Tan Sri Shafie Abdullah, he has sent a letter to MACC giving his assurance. I cannot recall the exact date, but he will come in to give his statement,” he added.
Azam spoke after officiating the SPRM–UiTM Inspira 2025: Integrity and Leadership Day at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam. UiTM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Shahrin Sahib @ Sahibuddin was also present.
MACC has been seeking Adam’s assistance in its investigation into the construction of the Putrajaya MEX II Highway from the Putrajaya Interchange to KLIA.
Adam had previously been investigated under the Jana Wibawa initiative, but the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court acquitted and discharged him of 12 charges involving corruption and money laundering.
The decision was delivered by Judge Suzana Hussin after Deputy Public Prosecutor Farah Yasmin Salleh informed the court that MACC had agreed to offer a compound of RM4.1 million to Adam based on representations submitted by the accused.
Separately, Azam confirmed again today that Adam has “promised to return in the near future,” emphasising that “his statement is required purely as a witness to assist the investigation.”- December 10, 2025
