Besiktas are intensifying their pursuit of Arsenal defender Rob Holding.
Holding has been made available by the Gunners this summer and contact with Besiktas has been ongoing for some weeks.
Rennes are also keen, but Besiktas have now lodged a first bid.
L'Equipe says Besiktas have made an opening offer of 3m to Arsenal for Holding and are waiting on a response.
Holding has a deal to 2024 with Arsenal plus an option for another 12 months.
