Amazon is about to take another big bite out of the price of Apple products, because, yes, another Prime Day sale is nearly here, and we’ve got all the details.

The ecommerce giant announced its latest sale in late August, with the dates now confirmed as Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 October. Officially called the Prime Big Deal Days sale, Amazon’s latest event is promising Prime customers “some of Amazon’s best deals of the season”, from Dyson, Shark, LG, Sony and more.

Apple discounts are sure to be part of the sale, too. Along with AirPods and iPads, we almost always see discounts on MacBooks, Apple Watches and iPhones during Amazon’s sale events.

Below, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know about the Prime Big Deal Days sale, including the best early Apple deals you can find ahead of Amazon Prime Day right now.

The best early Apple Amazon Prime Day deals 2023

Apple iPad, 9th generation, 2021: Was £369, now £314.98, Amazon.co.uk

Reduced by 15 per cent, Apple’s 2021 iPad is one of the cheapest models you can buy. The ninth-generation tablet boasts a 10.2in screen and full-sounding stereo speakers. Compatible with the Apple pencil and smart keyboard, the iPad is complete with a back camera and front camera, for extra versatility.

Apple Watch Ultra: Was £699, now £669, Amazon.co.uk

Amazon has slashed the price of the original premium smartwatch, to coincide with the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 launching. Featuring double the battery life of other Apple Watches and a bigger screen, it was the first to be available in only titanium and with cellular connectivity. Now, you can save more than £100 at Amazon. “The display is fantastic, offering outstanding brightness and exceptional readability, thanks to the size and flatness of the screen. It’s called the Ultra because it does more than previous models – from crash detection to depth monitoring to having a design that works with thick gloves underwater, for instance,” our tech critic said in their review.

Apple MacBook Air M2 13.6in, 2022: Was £1,149, now £1,059, Amazon.co.uk

Save almost £100 on last year’s MacBook Air with the M2 chip ahead of Amazon Prime Day. “The new MacBook air shines because of its superb light weight and bright display, its great keyboard and fast performance, and its sheer drop-dead glorious design,” our writer said in their review last year. “The M2 processor is noticeably faster than the already barnstorming M1 and the battery life remains outstanding.”

Apple 20W USB-C power adapter: Was £19, now £15.20, Amazon.co.uk

If you’ve just bought yourself a new iPhone 15, we’d recommend getting a USB-C charging brick, if you want the fastest speeds. Apple’s official 20W USB-C power adapter is a great companion, and works with the iPhone 8 and up – although, you’ll also need a USB-C-to-lightning cable if you don’t have an iPhone 15. The 20W adapter can charge an iPhone to 50 per cent in around 35 minutes, and the best part is it currently has 20 per cent off ahead of the Prime Day sale.

When will Prime Day Apple deals begin?

Amazon has announced the Prime Big Deal Days sale will be taking place from Tuesday 10 October until the end of Wednesday 11 October. Amazon held a similar Prime member-exclusive event last October, called the Prime Early Access Sale.

Do you need Amazon Prime to buy Prime Day Apple deals?

Billed as a Prime member-exclusive sale, you will need to be subscribed to Amazon Prime to take part in the Prime Big Deal Days sale.

An Amazon Prime membership costs £8.99 a month or £95 for a year. To sign up, head to the Amazon Prime landing page and enter your details.

Savvy shoppers who don’t have a Prime subscription yet will want to sign up for a 30-day free trial closer to October. Anyone who hasn’t been a Prime member in the past 12 months is eligible for the free trial. Once you’re all done shopping (or the Prime Big Deal Days sale is over), just cancel your membership and you won’t be charged.

What to expect from Prime Day Apple deals in 2023

Expect to see discounts on that iPad, MacBook, Apple Watch or those AirPods you’ve been keeping an eye on all year. Typically, almost every device in Apple’s ecosystem gets a price cut during Prime Day sales, and we expect the same this October.

With Apple having unveiled new products at its Apple event last week, showing off a new iPhone 15 and Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2, we’re expecting to see the iPhone 14 Pro go on sale, as well as the Apple Watch Series 8.

During last year’s Prime Early Access Sale, we saw the new iPhone 13 Pro get a sweet price cut, so don’t be surprised if the 14 gets one too.

How to get the best Apple deals

To get the best Apple deals during the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale, we’d recommend bookmarking this page. In the lead-up to the event, we’ll be updating this page with all the juiciest deals before, during and after the event, so you’re not going to want to miss out.

It’s also a good idea to add your favourite Apple gadgets to a wish list on Amazon, so you can keep an eye on the price. Amazon reportedly changes its prices 2.5 million times a day, and it sometimes changes the RRP, so it looks like you’re getting a better deal than you actually are. We’ll keep an eye on this, too.
