There is a huge rush come November for advent calendars (particularly beauty advent calendars), with an increasing range of brands creating wild and wonderful countdowns. Men’s advent calendars have come a long way and now include options for fitness fanatics, skincare aficionados and those who enjoy discovering new fragrances.
Liberty’s offering for men is another stand-out this year, with its unique supply of niche scents and skincare brands that are stocked exclusively at the London-based department store. Myprotein has all your fitness needs sorted throughout the month with protein bars, creatine powder and protein shakes to keep you active for the whole month.
I’ve been opening doors early to ensure I can share the best men’s advent calendars, whether you’re shopping for a loved one or fancy treating yourself this year.

Liberty men's advent calendar 2026
Best: men's advent calendar overall
Why we love it
- Perfect for discovering niche fragrances
- Box itself makes a great decoration
Take note
- Includes a couple of filler items like socks and playing cards
Housed in the signature shop-front box that’s become iconic for Liberty’s calendars, with green peacock-feather design and gold stars for 2026, this is the best men’s advent calendar I’ve tried.
Each year the standouts in the calendar for me are the range of niche fragrances that you can discover. From New York perfume house Vilhelm Parfumerie comes dirty velvet, a sultry woody and tobacco-forward scent that is perfect for date night. There’s also a vanilla affair from D’Orsay, which somehow makes a sweet vanilla feel masculine.

There’s a good mix of products including skincare from Kate Somerville, Wildsmith Skin and a La Mer lip balm (which alone retails for £70). This is alongside bodycare, from bath salts by cult London brand Earl of East to a Verden sleep mist in a lovely glass bottle.
The final drawer has three products inside including Liberty playing cards, socks and 15ml Loewe esencia pour homme fragrance. The playing cards and socks feel a bit like filler, but the Loewe perfume feels special as the last treat in the calendar.
I’m a huge fan of the design of the Liberty calendar and despite the hefty price tag, there are plenty of special treats to open this advent.

Moth cocktail advent calendar
Best: cocktail advent calendar for men
Why we love it
- A chance to try the full Moth cocktail range
- Cocktails have plenty of flavour
Take note
- Lots of margaritas
Moth crafts some of the best canned cocktails around and its huge 24-door advent calendar, with a cocktail behind every window, is back for another boozy advent countdown.
There’s a mixture of all the signature favourites from the brand in full size. Expect spicy margaritas that have a real heat to them, espresso martinis that feel mixologist crafted and negronis that I think make the perfect bittersweet Christmas cocktail.

A new addition is the mango margarita that launched this year, a sweeter, tropical twist on the classic margarita, with that classic lime sharpness. That does mean that seven of the 24 doors are made of margaritas, which could pose an issue depending on personal preference.

Healf advent calendar
Best: wellness advent calendar for men
Why we love it
- Contains brands exclusive to Healf
- A reflection of the most sought-after supplements
- Luxury skincare
Take note
- Pretty pricey
- No wellness tech or accessories
A refreshing departure from traditional beauty or chocolate countdowns, Healf’s 25-day calendar is tailored specifically for health and wellness enthusiasts. Curated around the brand’s four pillars of wellbeing (eat, move, mind, and sleep), the minimalist silver-and-black chest focuses heavily on high-potency, science-backed supplements targeting immunity, energy, and longevity, with key inclusions from Thorne, AG1, and Momentous.

Beyond supplements, the contents offer a genuinely impressive mix: 21 of the 26 items are full-sized, including elevated luxury skincare from Dr. Barbara Sturm and Humanrace, alongside buzzy longevity products like What’s That Patch NAD+ longevity patches, fragrance items like Salt & Stone’s natural deodorant and Heretic natural perfume, and feel-good inclusions like Honestly Manuka’s 550+ MGO honey.
While it lacks wellness tech or accessories, it boasts minimal filler and delivers a massive £656 saving compared to buying the products individually. With a strong unisex appeal, it makes a thoughtful, premium investment for any man who is interested in health and wellbeing.

BrewDog advent calendar 2026
Best: beer advent calendar for men
Why we love it
- No repeat products
- Classics and limited editions included
- Comes with a tasting glass to enjoy the drinks
Take note
- Very heavy
Beer lovers will be having the time of their lives this huge, heavy BrewDog advent calendar, featuring a whopping 24 different varieties. There are no repeats either. Though keep in mind, the first door doesn’t count as one of the countdowns and is a festive branded glass from which to sip all the beers.

There are special festive limited edition beers alongside the brand’s much loved classics including punk IPA, hazy Jane, lost lager and Elvis juice. The calendar also includes lots of BrewDog’s unique brews like two scoops, a honeycomb ice cream stout in collaboration with Scottish ice cream maker Mackies.
Some of the beers are 330ml size but there are also bigger 440ml cans, and it was a lot of fun finding new favourites.

Your questions about men’s advent calendars answered
What is the best men’s advent calendar?
Despite its £270 price tag, the Liberty calendar has plenty of premium skincare and fragrance to explore, with a value of more than £800. If you’re after a more affordable grooming option, Lookfantastic’s calendar is £90 and includes some stellar familiar favourites that will see you through the winter.
If you’re a beer drinker, BrewDog’s option is a good way to explore the surprisingly varied range of ales, lagers and stouts on offer, or Moth’s cocktail calendar is a crowd-pleaser for parties, to share with a partner (or indulge yourself on a December evening).
Are men’s advent calendars worth it?
With the rising cost of living – and as consumers become more savvy with their shopping habits – I’m seeing better value advent calendars this year. Though advent calendar prices have risen, with many on sale for £5 or £10 more than last year, the total value of products in these calendars has soared, and it’s much more competitive. You tend to get three or four times the value of goods as the price you pay.
Even without that context, advent calendars for men also make a great gift, as there are up to 25 windows to open, which means a little gift every day throughout December. The likes of Liberty and Lookfantastic have a range of IndyBest tried and tested brands, so it’s a high-quality surprise every time, and you might find a new favourite.
So, yes, advent calendars make a great gift for yourself or a loved one. Calendars can be as niche as you like, with coffee, socks, gin, beer and a multitude of other fillings that can be tailored for the recipient.
Why trust our advent calendar reviews?
At IndyBest, we’ve reviewed countless calendars over the year, assessing the presentation, variety of products, real practicalities and most importantly, value for money.
