Kota Kinabalu: Sabahans are told to be wary when donating to Palestine relief funds so as to avoid becoming potential scam victims.
Sabah Islamic Affairs Exco Datuk Dr Arifin Mohd Arif encouraged infaq (charity) but emphasised going through proper channels.
“Go through NGOs recognised by the Sabah Islamic Religious Council, State Department of Islamic Religious Affairs, the Police and the State Government.
“The same rule applies when organising religious talks,” he said when officiating Karnival Semarak Bahasa at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP), here, Tuesday.
