The Special Staff of the Outer Delhi Police District arrested a member of the Himanshu Bhau gang after a brief exchange of fire on Sunday.
The accused, identified as 26-year-old Ashish, alias Don, a resident of Bakkarwala, was allegedly wanted in four criminal cases, including two registered in the Outer Delhi. Acting on a tip-off, the police launched an operation and apprehended him after the encounter. An illegal .32-bore semi-automatic pistol and two empty cartridges were seized from his possession. Further investigation is underway.
