Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, celebrated Labour Day with enthusiasm and respect in a special morning assembly held on the campus. The programme commenced with a prayer, setting a tone of gratitude and positivity, followed by a warm welcome address that acknowledged the dedication, sincerity and hard work of the helping staff. The cultural segment featured a meaningful skit titled ‘Mehnat Ke Rang Hazaar’, which depicted the diverse forms and value of hard work, along with a group song conveying messages of unity, respect and appreciation. Principal Inderpreet Kaur emphasised the importance of respecting every form of work and acknowledged the support staff as integral members of the school family. She urged students to cultivate empathy, humility and gratitude in their daily lives, reminding them that true character is reflected in how one values the efforts of others. A special felicitation ceremony was conducted to honour the support staff for their devoted service. The programme concluded with the national anthem, followed by refreshments arranged as a heartfelt token of gratitude.
