A cloth trader from Rajasthan was robbed of his expensive mobile in broad daylight near Mata Rani Chowk.
Bhupinder Singh, a resident of Ganganagar, Rajasthan, and a cloth trader by profession, frequently visits Ludhiana’s AC Market for business. He had come to the city for business. When he was returning from Mata Rani Chowk towards the AC Market, a youth riding a bike snatched the mobile from his hand.
Afterwards, the miscreant sped away towards Meena Bazaar. The victim raised the alarm but to no avail. Bhupinder said he informed the Kotwali police about the incident. He would visit Ludhiana again to get his statement recorded.
ASI Harjinder Singh said legal proceedings would be initiated after recording the victim’s statement.
