MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines’ “Nation’s Girl Group” Bini is joining forces with Japan’s Hana and Thailand’s 4Eve for Asia Pop Girl Fest 2027, a three-country concert series bringing together leading acts from the J-pop, T-pop and P-pop scenes.
Bini announced the festival on its social media pages Friday night, unveiling a promotional graphic featuring the three groups and the tagline, “Asia’s Girl Groups, One Stage.”
The festival will open in Japan with two shows on Jan. 22 and 23, 2027, at LaLa arena Tokyo-bay. It will continue in Thailand on Feb. 13 at BITEC Live before making its final stop in the Philippines on Feb. 19 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
More details about the festival, including ticketing and the concert program, will be announced soon.
Three pop scenes, one stage
Asia Pop Girl Fest 2027 brings together three girl groups that represent the growing regional reach of J-pop, T-pop and P-pop.
Hana is a Japanese girl group formed through the 2024-2025 survival audition program No No Girls, a project created by Japanese rapper and singer Chanmina in collaboration with BMSG, the agency founded by Sky-Hi.
The seven-member group consists of Chika, Naoko, Jisoo, Yuri, Momoka, Koharu and Mahina. HANA made its debut under No Label Music and Sony Music Japan, with songs including “Rose,” “Drop,” “Burning Flower” and “Blue Jeans.”
The group’s fans are known as HONEYs.
Thailand’s 4Eve, meanwhile, is one of the country’s prominent T-pop girl groups. The seven-member act was formed through the survival audition program Girl Group Star and debuted in December 2020 under XOXO Entertainment.
Known for its girl-crush image, strong choreography and energetic performances, 4EVE is composed of Mind, Jorin, Taaom, Hannah, Fai, Punch and Aheye.
The group has released popular tracks including “TEST ME,” “Hot 2 Hot,” “Tears,” “Vroom Vroom” and “Boutchya.” Its fandom is known as Foraye, or For Aye.
Bini brings P-pop to the festival
Bini will represent the Philippines in the international lineup as the group continues to expand its presence across Asia and beyond.
The eight-member group — Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena — was formed through ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy and debuted under Star Music in June 2021.
Bini has become one of the leading acts associated with the rise of P-pop, gaining a growing international following with its upbeat sound, synchronized choreography and youthful aesthetic.
Among the group’s best-known songs are “Pantropiko,” “Salamin, Salamin,” “Karera,” “Lagi” and “Na Na Na.”
The group’s fandom, Bloom or Blooms, has supported Bini through its expanding schedule of local and international performances.
The group is currently on its “Signals World Tour,” supporting its third EP, Signals. The North American leg wrapped up Friday, Aug. 28, with a show at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York.
BINI will next take the tour to Oceania, beginning with a Sept. 20 performance at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Australia. The group will also perform in Auckland on Sept. 25 and Sydney on Sept. 27.
