MANILA, Philippines — Bini emerged as the biggest winner at the second Filipino Music Awards, taking home both Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year for its “Signals World Tour 2026” during the awards ceremony Tuesday night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Bini leader Jhoanna Robles and Maloi Ricalde accepted the Artist of the Year award on behalf of the group, saying they attended the ceremony primarily to celebrate Filipino music and did not expect to take home one of the night’s major honors.
“We came here because we just wanted to celebrate. Ate Maloi and I are big fans of OPM. We never put it in our minds that we would receive an award,” Robles said.
The recognition came after what Robles described as a particularly demanding year for the group.
“This year, I feel, was the most mentally, physically and emotionally challenging for Bini, especially when Coachella came up and we asked ourselves, ‘Do we really deserve to be on that stage?’ But because of the support of Filipinos, thank you so much for making us feel how far OPM can reach,” she said.
Bini also received the Tour of the Year award for its Signals World Tour 2026, which has taken the group to international audiences across multiple cities.
Ricalde accepted the touring award, saying “We’re still on tour right now, so thank you for giving us this recognition in the middle of our tour. It fuels us to become greater and to work harder in everything we do.”
Bini recently wrapped up the Australian and New Zealand leg of its tour. The group is scheduled to continue its international run in Singapore on Oct. 25 at The Arena @ Expo.
The group’s double win came as the Filipino Music Awards celebrated artists, songs, albums, performances and industry achievements from the 2026 eligibility year.
Other major winners included Skusta Clee and Flow G, whose “Since Day One” won both Hip-Hop Song of the Year and Song of the Year. Maki’s “Kolorcoaster” was named Album of the Year, while fitterkarma won Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

In the genre categories, VVINK, DJ Love and Pio Balbuena won Pop Song of the Year for “Baduy,” while IV of Spades took Alternative Song of the Year for “Kabisado.”
