BITCOIN has surpassed the US\$116,000 mark for the first time in history, according to trading data from the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, as reported by Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
“According to Binance Market Data, Bitcoin (BTC) crossed the 116,000 USDT benchmark and is now trading at 116,322.71875 USDT, with a 4.69 per cent increase in 24 hours,” stated a notice on the Binance website.
On the Bitmex cryptocurrency exchange, the world’s leading digital asset climbed even higher, briefly touching an all-time high of US$117,614.
