Following an all-night vote count with final results announced this morning, BJP-supported candidates secured 11 of the 17 zila parishad (ZP) seats. The Congress party claimed five seats, while a BJP rebel candidate took the remaining one.

BJP candidates, who won in ZP elections, include Pawanjeet Singh from Mubarikpur ward, Arun Lata from Kutheda Khairla, Yog Raj Yogi from Sohari, Anita Devi from Lathiani, Anu Thakur from Chattaram Avinash Kumar from Dehlan Upper, Bindu Sharma from Raipur Sahoran, Indu Bala from Panjawar, Pawan Kumar from Ambota, Arti Devi from Chalet and Gurmukh Singh from Lower Bhanjal.

Congress candidates, who won in ZP elections, include Sarwan Singh from Thathal, Sumit Sharma from Takka, Jyoti Bala from Bathu, Sulinder Pal Kaur from Dulehar and Kewal Singh from Haroli.

The BJP rebel candidate, Chanchala Devi, supported by former minister Virender Kanwar won the Dhanet seat in Kutlehar Assembly segment.
