BJP national president Nitin Nabin began a two-day visit to Odisha on Sunday as part of his nationwide outreach to strengthen the party’s grassroots organisation.

During the tour, Nabin will lead a series of strategic meetings, training programmes, and interactions with senior leaders, office-bearers and grassroots party workers across Bhubaneswar and Puri.

The visit comes as part of the youngest BJP national president’s nationwide outreach campaign.

Party leaders view the visit as an important step toward reinforcing the BJP’s political and organisational presence in Odisha.

Nabin will begin his engagements with a meeting of the BJP state core committee at the party’s state office in Bhubaneswar.

He will later inaugurate the BJP Bhubaneswar District Prashikshan Varg Exhibition at the AIPH Campus near Cohen International School and Swasti Institute of Management and Social Studies (SIMSS).

The BJP national president will also visit the Puri Dham, where he will offer prayers before Lord Jagannath and participate in special rituals.

Following his return to Bhubaneswar, Nabin will hold key organisational meetings with state office-bearers, morcha presidents and members of the Odisha Council of Ministers.

In a post on X, Nabin said, “Starting today, I will be in the sacred land of Mahaprabhu Jagannath. Over the next two days, I will be attending the District Prashikshan Varg in Bhubaneswar and hold organisational meetings with our dedicated party ‘karyakartas’. Looking forward to it.”

According to party sources, since taking charge of the party’s top organisational post, Nabin has maintained an aggressive travel schedule across states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Goa, Puducherry, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Odisha. His constant interaction with booth-level workers and district leadership, many opine, reflects BJP’s renewed emphasis on cadre-based politics and grassroots mobilisation. Nitin Nabin was elected the party’s national president on January 20.

Nabin’s rise within the BJP is being seen as symbolic of the party leadership’s attempt to bring forward a younger generation of political organisers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to entrust such a massive responsibility to a comparatively young leader signals the BJP’s long-term political planning.

The party seems focused on promoting a leadership model that blends top-level experience with an active middle generation of leaders who can directly engage with grassroots workers and first-time voters.

Known for his disciplined organisational style and direct engagement with party workers, Nabin has emerged as one of the BJP’s most active national leaders in recent months. His role in coordinating party machinery during the recently concluded Assembly elections further strengthened his standing within the organisation.

Analysts believe his extensive state tours are designed not only to review political preparedness but also to build stronger coordination between the central leadership and grassroots workers.
