A fire broke out at the Sinar Bayu factory and its workers' quarters in Menggatal, burning down the entire facility, including several vehicles.
The fire was reported at 3.50 am, with firefighting teams arriving at the scene in approximately 10 minutes.
According to the Fire Department, the fire completely destroyed the 100'x200' factory and workers' quarters.

The firefighting team, consisting of 24 personnel from Lintas, Kota Kinabalu, and Tuaran fire stations managed to bring the situation under control by 5.08 am.
No casualties were reported in the incident while the cause of the fire is under investigation.
