Hell hath the fury of a woman scorned can aptly describe this situation when a blindly jealous girlfriend reportedly set her partner's house on fire after another woman who turned out to be his relative answered the phone.

The accused was a 23 years old woman, Senaida Marie Soto, who was said to have committed arson due to her belief that her partner had cheated on her.

The crime that had occurred in the victim's house in San Antonia, Texas, USA was started when the accused set a fire on the victim's couch around 2 AM on 20th November.

According to Daily Star, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office stated that the accused had FaceTimed her boyfriend when another woman answered his phone, who later turned out to be a relative of the boyfriend.

“She went to the boyfriend’s house, and that is when she lit the couch in the living room on fire,” says Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

Bexar County Sheriff's Office also stated a video was recorded while the house was on fire.

The video had shown that the accused lit the couch on fire and it spread, thus causing the home to go up in flames, causing $75,000 in damage.

According to an affidavit, Soto allegedly causes the huge blaze and FaceTime the victim so he could witness her action.

Daily Star also reported that Soto wished and said that she hope the victim's belongings are going to be in a good shape.

While it was unsure if it is a passive-aggressive comment, Soto reportedly had texted him a message wishing for his house to be ok before she drive off.

A witness also stated that the Soto had filled her car with items inside the home before she started the blaze.

Soto was arrested on the next day, with charges of arson and burglary habitation, with a bond set on $165,000.
