Malaysias blockbuster hit of the year, Blood Brothers: Bara Naga, has officially claimed the top spot on Netflix's Global Top Ten for Non-English Movies.
The news was shared by director Syafiq Yusof on X, where he thanked fans worldwide for their support. Co-directed with Abhilash Chandra, the action film has struck a chord with audiences far beyond Malaysia.
Streaming since August 10, the film's arrival on Netflix has given it a second life on the global stage. Both Syafiq and Abhilash hope the platform will open more eyes to the quality of Malaysian action films.
"I'm thrilled that Blood Brothers: Bara Naga has made it to Netflix," said Syafiq. "I really hope it's embraced by viewers around the world – and that Malaysians who missed it in cinemas finally get a chance to watch."
Abhilash added that the movie was a massive undertaking, created with a 200-strong local crew over two years, and is now celebrated as Malaysia's most successful action film of 2025.
"As both director and writer, Syafiq and I feel incredibly proud to finally share this story with a global audience," he said.
