KOTA KINABALU: Sabah UMNO Treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak said Barisan Nasional (BN) is open to collaborating with local parties beyond its current partnership with Pakatan Harapan (PH), as long as they share common goals.

He stressed the importance of sincerity, unity, and cooperation in forming effective coalitions, especially with state elections approaching.

While noting that BN and PH are core components of the federal Unity Government, Salleh urged both sides to focus on unity and development rather than political gamesmanship.

The Usukan assemblyman highlighted the need for fair seat distribution, shared policies, and respect for Sabah’s autonomy. He added that any alliance should avoid a “big brother” dynamic and operate with mutual respect.

“This is a collective commitment to Sabah’s future, not a personal struggle,” he said in a statement.
