KOTA KINABALU: A man’s body was discovered on a hillside site at Odec Beach, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), on Friday afternoon, prompting a response from the Fire and Rescue Department following a request from the police.
Seven firefighters from the Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene, with the operation beginning at 1.40pm and ending at 2.55pm.
The male victim believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been confirmed.
The remains were retrieved and handed over to the police for further investigation.
