PENAMPANG: A body was discovered in a drain along Jalan Bundusan near the Anak Mami coffeeshop, here, Monday.
The discovery was made at around 3.30pm by a grass cutter who was working in the area at the time, who subsequently alerted the authorities.
The deceased, believed to be a man, had yet to be identified.
Residents in the area claimed that an accident had occurred at the location around midnight on Sunday, raising the possibility that the victim may have fallen into the drain.
Penampang police are investigating the case, though official details from the authorities had yet to be obtained at press time.
